🚨 Warning: Major Chicken Recall at Trader Joe’s, Aldi, & More Due to Listeria Risk! 🚨

Yo, heads up if you’ve recently grabbed ready-to-eat chicken or turkey from places like Trader Joe’s, Aldi, Walmart, or Target — there’s a huge recall going down! BrucePac, a major supplier of pre-cooked meats, is recalling over 10 million pounds of their products because of potential Listeria contamination. 😬 This affects a ton of stuff, from salads and burritos to rice bowls.

The USDA found Listeria during routine testing in BrucePac’s poultry, and now products made between June and October 2024 are in the danger zone. 😷 No illnesses have been reported yet, but the USDA is taking no chances since some of this meat might still be chilling in restaurants or, uh, even your fridge.

Check your labels ASAP! If you’ve bought any of these brands, you might want to toss or return them:

  • Trader Joe’s, Aldi, Walmart, Target, HEB, Kroger
  • Atkins, Jenny Craig, Boston Market, Michelina’s
  • Amazon Fresh, Rao’s, Dole (and the list keeps going).

Products to watch out for:

  • Trader Joe’s BBQ Chicken Salad
  • Great Value Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
  • Jenny Craig Chicken Carbonara
  • Atkins Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo

👀 Look for the establishment numbers 51205 or P-51205 under the USDA mark of inspection, though keep in mind, some products might have different numbers because of further processing.

If you catch Listeria, most people will have symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting that go away in a few days. But if you’re pregnant, older, or have a weak immune system, it can get serious fast, with fever, muscle aches, and even more severe outcomes like miscarriage or stillbirth. 😱

👉 Bottom Line: If you’ve got any of these recalled products, do not eat them! Toss them out or return them for a refund. Stay safe, y’all! 🛑
