DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations just hit a major milestone by flying their First-Person View (FPV) drones at an altitude of 17,000 feet in Ladakh, breaking records and showcasing cutting-edge tech for the Indian Army. These high-speed drones hit a top speed of 129 km/h—more than double the required minimum—and covered a distance of 6.39 km, outperforming the Army’s expectations.
The Record-Breaking Flight 💨
Taking place at Wari-La, one of Ladakh’s highest points, DroneAcharya’s FPV drones showed off their maneuverability and speed at high altitudes. The drones were inducted into the Indian Army earlier in April 2024, and this demonstration highlights their ability to operate effectively in extreme conditions.
Prateek Srivastava, co-founder of DroneAcharya, called the achievement a “significant milestone,” and Major General (Dr) Mandip Singh (retd), president of Strategic Alliances, praised the drones’ reconnaissance and tactical capabilities.
Built for Tough Missions 💪
DroneAcharya’s FPV drones aren’t your average flyers—they’re designed for military use, capable of operating in extreme environments without relying on GPS. These drones come equipped with:
- Water resistance
- Electromagnetic hardening
- Advanced targeting systems
They can carry payloads of up to 2 kg, perform reconnaissance missions up to 7 km, and are suitable for counter-insurgency and arsenal delivery operations.
What’s Next for DroneAcharya? 🚀
DroneAcharya plans to continue developing and pushing the limits of drone tech to meet the operational needs of the Indian armed forces. With this recent achievement, they’ve shown that they’re ready to deliver innovative, reliable tools for modern military missions.
FPV drones are the future, and DroneAcharya is proving that they’re leading the way!
