In a concerning development, veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, is reportedly in critical condition at a Mumbai hospital. This news comes just two days after the 86-year-old assured the public that his health issues were routine and not a cause for concern. 😟


Tata was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai early Monday morning following a drop in blood pressure. Sources familiar with the situation have indicated that he is currently in intensive care.

On October 7, Tata took to social media to dispel rumors regarding his health. He emphasized, β€œI am undergoing medical check-ups due to my age-related medical conditions. There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits.” He requested the public and media to refrain from spreading misinformation.


Ratan Tata took the reins as Chairman of Tata Sons in March 1991, retiring in December 2012. Under his leadership, the Tata Group saw its revenues soar from β‚Ή10,000 crore to an impressive USD 100.09 billion by 2011-12. Tata was instrumental in significant acquisitions, including Tetley, Corus, and Jaguar Land Rover, expanding the group’s footprint on the global stage.
