Cyclone Dana has developed in the Bay of Bengal and is expected to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by tomorrow morning. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the storm is moving at a speed of 18 km/h and is predicted to cross the North Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar Island during the night of Thursday and Friday.
This is the second cyclone in the North Indian Ocean basin this season, following Cyclone Asna in August.
